Crafting a Purposeful Life: Part I
ACI 10:
A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s
Way of Life
Join us in this first installment of ACI’s transformative three-part series, “Crafting a Purposeful Life” inspired by the timeless wisdom of 'A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life' (Bodhisattvacharya Avatara) by Master Shantideva (~700CE). Delve into these profound teachings enriched by the commentary 'Entry Point for Children of the Victorious Buddhas' by Gyaltsab Je (1364-1432).
Master Shantideva's masterpiece serves as an unparalleled guide to living as a bodhisattva in the modern world. Our course covers a spectrum of topics, including the benefits of embracing the bodhisattva’s path in your day to day life, the essential preliminaries for aspiring bodhisattvas, and strategies to overcome obstacles hindering your life. We will also explore methods to cultivate the causes leading to genuine bodhichitta, and the recollection and watchfulness required to embody the spirit of a bodhisattva.
Dive deep into 'The Guide' as a blueprint for the six perfections, unravel the strategy for practicing these perfections, and gain invaluable insights into addressing your negativities at work, in your personal relationships and in your own mind and heart. In Part I, we will touch deeply on the first two perfections: the perfection of giving and the ethical way of life, gaining a profound understanding towards self-discovery and compassionate living. This course lays the foundation for a profound transformation in your day-to-day life and in your higher pursuits.
